About Us

Doctors For Nepal is a registered UK charity that aims to improve healthcare in rural Nepal. We provide scholarships to under-privileged medical, nursing and midwifery students. Once qualified, these students return to a rural region for a minimum of two years to provide vital medical care to isolated communities. We make this happen by:

  • Funding scholarships for impoverished Nepali students to study medicine, nursing or midwifery
  • Providing our medical students with books and equipment
  • Supporting our scholars while they are working in isolated rural Nepal after graduation
  • Funding further training and postgraduate study for DFN doctors
  • Supporting rural healthcare projects
  • Facilitating electives in Nepal for UK medical students
