Growing Partnerships

DFN and the Oda Foundation are working together to improve access to quality healthcare in one of Nepal’s most remote regions. Our partnership blends DFN’s commitment to training healthcare professionals with the Oda Foundation’s community presence in Kalikot and frontline services including their clinic and birthing centre.

A recent highlight of this collaboration was DFN’s provision of menstrual hygiene packs to the Oda community following our 2025 womens health camp. This was an initiative that was warmly received and helped address an important aspect health and dignity for women and girls.

Our partnership also focuses on building a strong, sustainable healthcare workforce. Two DFN-trained nurses have been employed at the Oda Foundation in roles fully funded by DFN, bringing essential clinical skills directly into the community. DFN is also funding the medical training of a future doctor who will join the Oda team once qualified, ensuring long-term clinical leadership for the region.

In addition, DFN is supporting the training of two health assistants from the Oda community. These local trainees will play a vital role in strengthening primary care and expanding health services in the years ahead.

More collaborative projects are already in development, reflecting our shared vision of building resilient healthcare in the wider region.
