Last weekend, supporters gathered in London for a very special afternoon, and we’re still feeling the warmth of it. Our screening of ‘Health in the Himalayas’ brought together supporters old and new for a film that celebrates the resilience of Himalayan communities and the importance of accessible healthcare.
Following the devastating Nepal floods, we made the decision to redirect this event to support those affected. Every penny of the proceeds went directly to our Emergency Flood Appeal, and the response from our supporters was extraordinary.
We were honoured to be joined by Dame Joanna Lumley, who narrates the film, as our guest of honour. Her warmth and enthusiasm added something truly memorable to the afternoon, and we’re enormously grateful to her for lending her time and support to such an important cause.
To everyone who bought a ticket, gave a donation, or simply came along and made the room a joy to be in, thank you. It was a real pleasure to share the afternoon with you, and your support makes a genuine difference to the people we work with in Nepal.
What’s next
The flood relief effort is ongoing, and there is still much to be done. If you weren’t able to join us but would like to help, you can donate to our Emergency Flood Appeal
