News from Santosh, May 2018

“Initially, I want to thank you from the core of my heart for selecting me. In upcoming days I will try my best for proving that you had a fair selection.

It has been more than two month that I’m studying at PAHS. During these many days, I have cooperated with my new friends, seniors, and teachers. Teachers have been praising me due to my good tasks and hard work as well. I have by promise to keep it up in days to come. I have actively participated in my first slum posting at Shantinagar “Jagarantole”. Faculty members and my friends praised me. I am very thankful to them. It was really remarkable moment of my life. Finally, I again want to thank you for selecting me on this scholarship scheme.

My study is going well. I’m working hard to get success. I’m now feeling good to write these few words. . I am reading different English magazines as well English novel so as to improve my English. Days in PAHS are going well. The whole credit goes to DFN team. I am so proud to be its member member/student. ”   Santosh Upadhayay

Santosh’s comments when heard he had been offered a Doctors for Nepal scholarship:

“I was very happy and proud to be selected as the member of DFN. I couldn’t express my feelings, more than that my parents were so pleased to hear this good news.”

DFN has been doing its best to bring students of rural regions to stream of medical education and being a part of it is really a proud moment to me.  Giving the access for people of rural region in health facility has been the great work from the DFN and I am extremely grateful towards it.

I would like to thank all the members of DFN for this special opportunity. I think myself very fortunate for that. This scholarship has given me a strong courage moving forward in medical field, a great path way to accomplish my mission. I assure I will not let this opportunity go away. I will do my best to accomplish the mission that DFN has taken.”
