Scholarships
We sponsor qualified doctors to train to consultant level in collaboration with our partner institution, Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), through our postgraduate training programme. We also provide occasional medical, nursing and midwifery scholarships for students undertaking undergraduate study (MBBS, BNS, BMid) at KAHS. We offer full, partial and collaborative scholarships. Scholarships can include academic fees and/or additional fees (including hostel fees, and study materials). Terms will be decided by the board of trustees based on individual student needs.
Could you be a DFN Scholar? All of our scholars are from the most socio-economically deprived areas. 100% work in rural Nepal following their study, raising the standards of healthcare and medical education. While all of our students sign a bond to work for at least two years in a remote area, we are looking for candidates who are passionate about improving medical care in rural Nepal and therefore plan to have a long career working in remote areas alongside the wider DFN family.
