DFN Doctors Treat Mothers And Children at Local Health Camp
DFN doctors Purna and Lalit took part in a health camp this week, organised by a local outreach clinic in the Surkhet district. Together they consulted and treated 300 women and children.
The first DFN consultant doctor, Lalit works as an obstetrics and gynaecology specialist at the district hospital. Purna is following in his footsetps and is about to embark on his postgraduate (MD) study in paediatrics, after receiving a postgraduate scholarship from DFN.

Two More DFN Doctors Selected For Postgraduate Study!
DFN doctors, Purna and Nahakul, have been selected for postgraduate (MD) study to become consultant-level doctors.
Purna will specialise in Paediatrics and Nahakul will be studying surgery. Nahakul has received a government scholarship, while Purna will be supported by a Doctors for Nepal Postgraduate Scholarship. He will go on to work at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences after his study, helping to continue our joint mission of bringing more specialists to rural areas.

International Nurses Day
A big shout out to our dedicated team of nurses and nursing students this International Nurse Day!
We have fourteen incredible women in our nursing team, thirteen qualified nurses and one student, all of whom have been able to study and gain work in rural areas for their bonded periods thanks to DFN scholarships. Two of our qualified nurses (Satya and Sita) are now recieving a further scholarhsip from DFN for their Bachelor of Nursing degrees.
