They are now both off to their remote regions of Kalikot and Jumla to take up jobs as doctors back in their home villages. ??⚕️??⚕️?

Covid update from Nepal
News in from Dr Kamal who is working at Patan Hospital in Kathmandu. He has sent in a picture of the DFN donated oxygen concentrator being used in the Covid ward at Mugu District Hospital.Kamal says: “Nepal is still in lockdown with Covid cases decreasing and recovery rate increasing. As a result of our urgent Covid Nepal appeal, Sarah Gorrell at BBC Radio Sussex, interviewed our founder, Dr Kate Yarrow yesterday, as her guest of the day. During the interview Kate gave a brief history of Doctors For Nepal but mainly focused on the ever increasing Covid crisis in Nepal, and in particular in the most remote regions.

Emergency equipment now in use
As a result of our emergency appeal for funds to buy desperately needed oxygen cylinders and concentrators for remote regions of Nepal, our equipment has arrived and is being put straight to use. Oxygen concentrators, newly arrived in Mugu District Hospital in one of the most remote regions of Nepal, are now helping many of the local people suffering from Covid.

We are SO happy to announce that oxygen equipment has now arrived from Kathmandu to ALL the remote locations we are supporting - Mugu District Hospital, Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Kalikot District Hospital, plus Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Kathmandu.
