Two years on from Nepal earthquake
It is hard to believe that 2 years have passed since the enormous earthquake that rocked Nepal. From a recent visit to the capital – one could believe that life is back to normal; but it does not take much to see and feel the longstanding effects from the damage. Travelling to Manma in Kalikot District
Kate, one of our trustees Dr Nat Thurtle, and one of our newly qualified Doctors for Nepal, Nahakul, have travelled out to Kalikot to visit Manma Hospital where Kate first worked as a doctor for Médecins Sans Frontières, and where some of our documentary “Namaste – a Himalayan Journey” was filmed. Here’s what Kate has to say:

Fantastic fundraising by our runners
We had 9 runners taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon this year - a cold and blustery day. Fighting against the elements they all completed the course, some with amazingly fast times. The greatest news is that between them, our runners have raised over £3,000 and counting. We are extremely grateful to Abby, Emily, Kiersten, Effie, Becky, Sarah, Harriet, Valentina and Sasha for their fundraising efforts.
NAMASTE wins another award
We are very pleased to announce that our documentary NAMASTE, A HIMALAYAN JOURNEY has just won a 2017 Sir Edmund Hillary Award in the Mountain/Environmental competition of the Mountain Film Festival, USA. If you would like to purchase your very own DVD, please visit our shop.
