Sangita has just completed her most recent exam, covering the endocrine system and related disorders. She continues to be motivated by the possibility to help remote populations and is coming across many conditions in her studies that she has witnessed in her own community.

We are very pleased to announce that we have just started providing funds to cover board, lodging, and travel to Sangita, so that she can continue her 1st year medical studies at Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Kathmandu.  This has enabled her to live in the student hostel – prior to this she was travelling for 2 hours, there and back, to come to study at PAHS.  We are delighted to welcome Sangita into the DFN family, and have recorded a short video with her, via zoom, in which she describes how her family’s house in her village was completely destroyed during the 2015 earthquake.
