Dr Kate Yarrow

Founder and Chairman of Trustees since 2011, Kate received an honours degree in Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2002. In 2006, Kate worked with the international aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where she was posted to the far west of Nepal. In 2007 she returned to the UK to continue with her medical training in Gynaecology and founded the charity Doctors For Nepal. She continues to have a keen interest in global and women’s health, and has held positions on the International Advisory Committee for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, the Trainees Global Health Committee for the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is currently a faculty member on World Extreme Medicine. Kate presented and wrote “Namaste: A Himalayan Journey” – a multi award-winning documentary produced by DFN, and has made numerous media appearances, including on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour. She is an A&E consultant at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital Trust, UK.
