Laura and Sophie are running in two very different but equally challenging events at the end of May, and are raising funds for Doctors for Nepal.
LAURA is running in the Cape Wrath Expedition Ultra Marathon Stage Race (400k over 8 days!) between 22 - 28 May.
Laura says "I'm running/walking/ crawling through bog, moor and forest for 400km over 8 days this May to raise money to fund scholarships for Nepali students from poor rural backgrounds to study medicine and work in their home area as doctors.

Just over one year has passed since the devastating earthquake that rocked Nepal in April 2015. Many are still living in appalling conditions, and struggling to survive. DFN is still supporting the rebuilding of various health posts destroyed by the quake, and will continue to support these projects over the coming months. Our 7 scholarship students are flourishing at medical school, and Meena and Nahakul graduate as doctors for Nepal later this year. One year has now passed since the devastating earthquake rocked Nepal, killing 9,000, and leaving 2.8 million displaced, and in need of humanitarian assistance. Living in Nepal is tough at the best of times, and the disaster on April 25th 2015 has made life unimaginably difficult for hundreds of thousands of people.
