Visiting an earthquake-hit village:
This week we visited one of the villages devastated by the earthquakes. It took us two days to reach the area from Kathmandu. As we travelled, I noticed a subtle change in the architecture. At first I wondered why many of the houses looked like they belonged in a shantytown; which seemed odd as most mountain houses in Nepal are made from stone, or wood and mud. Devastation in earthquake hit Nepal
Incredibly moved and saddened by the absolute devastation that is earthquake hit Nepal. The world has forgotten and the villages are literally flattened. We need to mobilise people into action to help these isolated communities.
Trustees fly out to Nepal
