London to Brighton Cyclists Triumph!
Inspirational cyclists, Nigel Lewers and Konrad von Szczepanski, conquered the London to Brighton bike ride at the weekend in aid of DFN. They successfully completed the the 55 mile long ride on Sunday, which took them from Clapham Common, through the Surrey and Sussex Countryside, finishing at the seafront in Brighton.
Through their efforts they raised an incredible £1215 for DFN. This will make a real difference to the lives of people in rural Nepal and we can't thank them enough for taking on this challenge!

Young Supporters Raise Funds for DFN!
A group of young DFN supporters spent the last day of the summer holidays raising money for DFN! Margaux and friends set up a fundraising stall in Knutsford, raising £30 for the charity. We are so grateful for their generosity and impressed by their ingenuity! Every penny will go towards helping our students, doctors and nurses improve healthcare in rural Nepal so they have made a real difference!
Catalyzing Change: DFN Nurse Drives Family Planning Awareness Initiative in Local Community
DFN nurse, Yuna Shahi, has been doing incredible work raising awareness of family planning in her role at Oda Foundation in Kalikot. The initiative she has been working on has successfully started to shift understanding and uptake in the community, leading to positive and lasting outcomes.

Two Newly-Qualified Nurses Step into Employment
Two of our recently graduated PCL nurses have secured employment in rural areas. Sangita K.C. and Rita Jirel will both be working as nurses with PHASE Nepal in remote health posts in Humla and Mugu respectively.
This is an exciting step for them as they embark on their journey as fully qualified nurses!
