News from our Doctors Our newest DFN doctors, Meena and Nahakul, are both currently working as interns in Patan Hospital, Kathmandu.  On our recent Trustees visit to Nepal it was very rewarding to see them finally working as newly qualified doctors in the hospital – we are extremely proud of all their achievements. Nursing Scholarship News

We are extremely pleased to announce that we will be extending our nursing scholarships this forthcoming academic year. In July 2017 we will be commencing the selection process for the new nursing and midwifery course at Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Kathmandu. The students will undertake a three year course to become graduates of nursing and midwifery, and sign an agreement to be posted to a remote area for a minimum of two years post-graduation. Later this year we will be recruiting for nursing students to commence studies at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences - in Jumla, in the west of Nepal. This is an extremely remote and impoverished ...

Running places available

We have 2 FREE PLACES for the MANCHESTER HALF MARATHON on Sunday 15th October 2017, and another 2 FREE PLACES for the BRIGHTON MARATHON 2018 on Sunday 15th April 2018. We would love it if you would like to take part in these great sporting events and fundraise for Doctors for Nepal. All we ask is that you raise at least £350 in sponsorship and for that you will get FREE ENTRY into the event and your very own DFN running vest.
