Getting Started
The first thing is to decide how much time you have and what you like to do – if you do something you already like (or would love to try) then you are much more likely to see it through.  Here are some ideas to get you started:
  • Next time you make a restaurant booking, do it through ChariTable Bookings and £1 for every diner will be donated to us at no extra cost to you. Please click here to view participating restaurants and to make a booking.
  • Raise free funds for us when you're shopping online! Via Easyfundraising it couldn't be easier, it doesn't cost anything extra and it's really quick. Please click here and follow instructions.
  • Running:  half or full marathons, Royal Parks Run for sponsorship
  • Walking: JustWalk - organised event along the South Downs Way, or organise your own for sponsorship
  • Dog walking: ask people to sponsor you and your dog to walk a certain distance
  • Swimming:  swimming any number of lengths for sponsorship
  • Cycling: cycling a certain distance for sponsorship
  • Climbing: climbing the equivalent of the height of Mt Everest on an inside climbing wall for sponsorship
  • Skiing: next time you go skiing ask people to sponsor you to ski a certain distance
  • Skipping: hold a skipathon in aid of DFN
  • Dancing: hold a danceathon in aid of DFN
  • Baking: hold a cake sale in aid of DFN
  • Open Garden: open your garden in aid of DFN and sell DFN goods as well
  • Film Screening:  hold your own private screening of our documentary in aid of DFN
  • Car boot sale: hold your own car boot sale in aid of DFN
  • Coffee mornings: hold a coffee morning in aid of DFN
