Midwifery students
Doctors for Nepal has signed agreements with the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla, to support the first ever midwifery degree-level course in Nepal. We will provide scholarships to the most needy and deserving students from the Karnali region.  We are thrilled that in 2020 we successfully selected our first Doctors for Nepal midwifery student, Parbati Bhandari.  Without our support, she would not have been able to study to become a midwife.  Once qualified she is bonded for 2 years to work as a midwife in her local area.
