Supporter’s Green Fingers Make a Difference to DFN

A college friend of DFN trustee, Chris Yarrow, has been using his gardening skills to benefit the charity.

Roger, 82, who lives near Vancouver, BC, is a keen gardener, and gives lessons to his gardening club members on pruning and tool-sharpening.  Each year he donates their subs to DFN, this year raising C$ 200.

Roger states:

“It gives the idea, literally, that a fundraiser can be held in winter in a back garden and people thousands of miles away are happy to help out the Nepalese, another few thousand miles away to the east of the UK.  I tell them about Kate’s work and they are most impressed with her vision and the realization of it…all done by someone who was a young student.  Great.”
