Trustees’ first visit to Nepal: Nigel’s thoughts

Thoughts from trustees’ first visit to Nepal:

We are nearing the end of our visit to this extraordinary country. A people who only five months ago experienced a calamitous earthquake. We have witnessed the consequences everywhere. Homes, businesses, Temples and lives destroyed. The misery of this devastation is quite overpowering to the observer. Yet the faith, dignity and courage of the Nepalese enables them to accept it as their fate without bitterness or resentment but with warmth in their hearts and a smile on their face. Truly remarkable.
