Postgraduate Education: More DFN Doctors Take the Next Step

With many of our qualified doctors having now completed their two-year bonded period in remote areas, following being awarded their MBBS degrees and completing their mandatory internships, we're pleased that some of them are now ready to prepare for their postgraduate or MD/MS qualification. This will allow them to become specialists in their chosen area of medicine and bring even more expertise to rural Nepal. Great to see the variety of ways that the education of our medics filters through the community to raise awareness of key issues in remote areas! As well as teaching and seeing patients in the hospital, Kamal is off to a health camp next week - brilliant work! Dr. Kamal consulting a ...

The students were visiting on a trip facilitated by STC expeditions, who arrange ethical school adventures. This was a wonderful opportunity for these members of the DFN team to share their stories - from growing up in some of the most isolated Nepalese districts, to being supported throughout their studies by Doctors for Nepal to becoming the skilled medics that they are today. It's beautiful to see opportunities for our scholars to have an impact on young people from across the world by sharing their amazing ...
