Dhruba joined us in August 2023. He had already started his medical studies at KAHS, Jumla and needed financial help in order to continue. Due to the poor economic situation of his family, and the recent passing of his father during the pandemic, his college fees would have been beyond reach for him, so DFN are delighted that we are able to support him continue working towards his goal.

He has worked all over the world, producing films and digital content for a variety of organisations, production companies and charities, with his clients including the BBC and the National Geographic.
Sangita Baruwal
Sangita is part of our Nepal Admin Team. She offers her time to DFN through our partnership with Phase Nepal.
Sangita is a qualified nurse and now holds a senior role in which she is responsible for supervising nurses studying and working all over rural Nepal.
She comes with a wealth of experience in remote healthcare and education and she is one of our ‘women on the ground’ when it comes to ongoing updates and developments in the lives of our scholars and the wider landscape of medical care in Nepal.
Sumati Shakya
Sumati is part of our Nepal Admin Team. She offers her time to DFN through our partnership with Phase Nepal.
She has a background in education and is currently doing further study and research in this area.
